Dress, Evening
French
1911
My first impressions:
I see a log of intricate sewing involved in this dress. The style looks a little more modern that the time period, so I wonder if there was a turning point in fashion at the time. Looking at the picture the fabric seems to have a paper-quality to it. The material must have been hard to sew with.
What I've learned:
This dress was donated to the Museum by Mrs. C. Phillip Miller in 1957. Its materials include silk, glass, and metal. It was made in Paris, France
